The Cullompton Walronds Preservation Trust

The Walronds is currently struggling financially. The house and garden is a registered charity run by a team of dedicated volunteers with no paid staff. It receives no public money. The insurance is over £10k per year and, as the property is Grade 1 Listed and in a Conservation Area, the costs of running it and keeping it in good repair are very high.
The Trustees are currently investigating ways to ensure that the property continues to be the well used and loved community hub that it currently is. We need to raise much needed funding but we also need to look to the future and ensure that we don’t find ourselves in a situation where we can’t find the money to pay the bills. To achieve this we need lots of help. This includes:

  • Ideas for the future use of the building and house. How would the local community like to see it used? More importantly we need
  • Volunteers to help secure a future for the Walronds

We are keen to hear from anyone that may be able to help with fund raising, locking and unlocking, gardening, small maintenance jobs, etc.

We would also like to know your thoughts and ideas about what the Walronds can do to ensure that it has a future and that the house and garden can continue to be part of the community.

If you can help then please get in touch by emailing info@walronds.com.
